Arctic Spirits is a modern heavy rock band from Qeqertarsuaq. They are made up of four young talented boys who are sprinkling with energy and something that is extraordinary is the guitar game that is impressive! The guitar game and the pumping bass are really moving and with a drummer in such a high gear that he sometimes gets up while playing, it can not be better at the Greenlandic rock universe. The album consists of 12 songs with true and honest heavynumre with a pair of rock ballads. It's almost like hearing Ozzy Osbourne in a modern edition and the lead-maker does well in a style that can be extremely challenging as a singer. The album has been produced in Atlantic Studio in Nuuk, 2008 and was completed in January 2009, with Simon Uldum as producer. Arctic Spirits had their first major performance at the Atlantic Music Festival (2008), and it's great with a new rock band in such a caliber!

This CD is just for tourists who want the true Greenlandic culture. The CD contains 55 tracks with some of the biggest drum dancers from all over Greenland. It will not be more original than this - the oldest recordings are over 100 years old (1905), so it almost feels that you're back in time when listening to the drum dances. Sound quality varies greatly from number to number so there is definitely drum dance for every taste. In addition to Greenlandic drum dancers, there are also some from Canada, and inside the cover there are great descriptions of how the recordings have taken place (both in Greenlandic and English). The CD was released in 1992.
Drum dancesGreenlandic drum dances are, like the relatives found in Eastern and Central Canada, based around a single dancer who composes his song by his family while he dances, usually in a qaggi, a snow-house built just for community events such as the drum dance . The men's drum dancing skills are evaluated by his endurance in his long performance and the nature of his compositions. Drum dances are an important element of Greenlandic Inuit cultural cohesion, and function as personal expression, pure entertainment and social sanction.Many drumdances are competitive in nature, featuring two song cousins who humorously sing and dance, while pointing out the flaws in the other. This is generally a light-hearted, convivial event, but is also sometimes used to settle serious duels between warring families or individuals; The jokes are prepared ahead of time and the person who evokes the most laughter from the audience is considered the victor
Then our new distribution came with a new group called Sisit, and they have just finished this nice album "Uanniik Ilinnut", consisting mainly of rhythmic pop and ballads. The songs are melodic with good texts dealing with many recognizable things with love in front, and the singer Ludvig Svendsen, who has written the songs together with Jan Olsen and Nukannguaq Kajusen (Inuk), sings with a vowel that is very prominent on the record. One can feel that the singer challenges himself, and with the musicians like the aforementioned and Malik Andersen (Arctic Spirits), Aasaf Olsen and Niels Ole Olsen (Liima Inui), it works well and you can clearly feel the home study atmosphere. The songs are written from 1998-2009 and the record contains 12 songs, recorded in Sisit Studio 2010.

Atlantic Studio celebrated 10 years in October 2008 which was the occasion to this production containing some of the most popular artists until then. The compilation and it´s content is rock, heavy, hip-hop and therefore mostly addressed to the younger audience. Artists as Nina K. Jørgensen, Kimmernaq, Angu, Peand-eL, Tuumotz, DDR, X-it contribute on this production.
Pilu Noahsen has now released his debut album "Pissanganarsileqaaq" and it is undoubtedly one of the albums of the year! Pilu is already a famous name in the world of music where she has participated in groups like Nuutit, Qarsoq and Qullissara as a crossword. This time she is allowed to embark on an entire album that involves rock, pop and well-written ballads, and her vocal is absolutely eminent. Juuna A. Sethsen has written nine out of ten songs on the album while Mads Petersen has written a single song. The helping hands of the album have also had an important role with Titben Jacobsen on saxophone, Adam Kjeldsen on rhythm guitar and choir and Nathan Kreutzmann on choir. Juuna A. Sethsen has been responsible for the theme of the songs as well as how the entire album should be arranged and it's really a great job that we at Atlantic Music are proud to publish. Juuna A. Zethsen has also played guitar and keyboard roles and helped with some choir. Aalut Zethsen plays drums on the album and Malik Andersen plays bass. These boys already know each other well from their own band "Arctic Spirits" and it may sound that they are combined to win this project, which will probably heat many homes in the cold winter season.
Everyone knows Rasmus Lyberth who is Greenland's ambassador in Greenlandic music. His clean and controlled voice gives the music a wonderful spirit that keeps popping in the ears. This record is a collection of his best songs from previous releases. There are a lot of old classics, which have been remastered for top quality sound in 2001. A nice sell in both Greenland and Denmark. Rasmus is one of the most tanned musicians, and is clearly visible in his calm voice and great guitar playing. He received this year's honorary award in 2003 from KODA.
