ASCD53: Samples/Lydklip

This production is a result of a contest of music talents in Nuuk in a cooperation between Atlantic Music and the local club NUIF. 23 bands were assigned and these 2 bands: Nu-Gen and Magnetic Northpole won the contest. Songs and lyrics are both in English and Greenlandic. The musicstyle from both bands is hard rock.

Inneruulat comes from Aasiaat and has produced 10 numbers for this album. The numbers are very popular with, among other things, the big hit "Inneruulatut Najorarpugut". The CD was released back in 1988. After this album, Inneruulat has also released two others, and they are really good at keeping the style they are known for - the seventies style with the good old guitar solos. It's hard to say what three of their releases are best, as they are all popular - all three albums have some of the most famous songs in Greenland. If you like an Inneruulat album, you can all like them all. Lovely nostalgic plates.

If you are into classical music, you will love this album. Kunjo Seblon's delightful feeling with the guitar has a relaxing effect that can appeal to both young and old - especially since the CD is exclusively instrumental with a beautifully sounding Spanish / classic guitar. The 14 tracks on the record contain classics like the number "Cavatina". Kunebless Seblon plays them in such a way that you, like the guitarist, can practice the songs or learn to play them by just listening to the album.

Laarseeraq Svendsen's recordings date back to the period 1958-1975, which has been edited to be released on CD in 1990. Your teacher, Iisaavaraq Petrussen, has given a helping hand to make the record come true - not least because the record's profit should be used for the class's study trip.

A nice plate that is very listenable, where all the sounds and instruments are beautifully controlled with silent drummer and gentle guitar solo

The soundtrack for the biggest movie about Greenland "Heart of Light" consists of very different music aimed at all ages. The title song itself is very beautiful and thoughtful. Among Greenlandic music you can mention Mariina and SUME. Selvka Nukaaka Motzfeldt contributes a nice drum dance, which is to be enjoyed, as it is rarely heard of recordings of female drum dancers. Isummat comes from Aasiaat and has recorded this album in 2000 - contains 8 beautiful songs. Pilu Lynge is one of the most famous singers in Greenland, not least because of her great lyrics, but also because of her energized voice and stage performances around the country. Everyone knows the songs "Isinnguavit", "Nuissat" and the new recording of "Seqineq", which broke through throughout the country. The CD is beautifully produced and Pilus's voice radiates true feelings, making the album very honest and good to listen to. A well deserved critically acclaimed record.

The Appitta choir from Nuuk, this time in co-operation with Frederik and Ludvig Kristensen, has recorded 9 tracks. The numbers consist of both crossed singles and crosses that are backed up by instruments like harmonics, organ, guitar and gentle drums. People who like choral music and music such as Igalikumiut Kinguaavisa Nipilersortartui will love this plate. The songs, like everything else, are very short, but beautifully dazzled with deep tones from men and high tones from the ladies who together harmonize beautifully.
