GR-7 Isiginninneq
Music from the band GR-7 from Maniitsoq. Style/genre isn´t easy to describe as you will listen to both rock, pop, blues, reggae and even rockn´roll with solo guitar – but really a solumn production.
GR-7 comes from Maniitsoq, and began on this debut album last year, where the process took place more or less as an on-and-off project, and was then finalized for the summer of 2009. The album was recorded in Atlantic Studio, Nuuk, with Simon Uldum as producer. The album is hard to give a certain genre, as in addition to rock and pop, there is some blues, reggae and rock n 'roll with guitar solos and bold rhythms as well as tunes that largely last and swing. GR-7 consists of 5 members, Ove Rasmussen Olsen on guitar and vocal, Jens Hendrik Kaspersen and Michael Kreutzmann on lead and rhythm guitars, Arne Rasmussen at Bas and Klaus Tønnesen on drums. A nice positive record containing 10 songs with good and encouraging texts.
