Nina, already a known name in the world of music, is now publishing a Danish-language record containing 10 songs. The songs are about 10 fictional women who each have their own deep story. Nina has written most songs on her own and some with the help of others. The album is not quite like the traditional Nina, as you know her and it will probably surprise many. This album is more electronic and is produced in the Faroe Islands, and by well-known guests, you can mention Kimmernaq, Nivi Pedersen and Pilu Noahsen. The texts are very personal and Nina unfolds like never before. Already, she is known as Greenland's singular number one and she proves this album again. Listen to the album with an open mind because it's a very fresh album with new beats and experimental sounds and if you're interested in knowing more about the different women she sings about, you can buy a book that contains a novel about the people she has singing about.
Hans Otto Brandt, who is already a famous name in the world of music, has released 2 solo albums earlier. He was among the finalists in a music contest in the 90's, which released one of his first songs on a compilation with different musicians. For his first release, he received a prize for his encouraging lyrics and unique music universe, which has been admired by many heroes. He has a big voice and one of his great strengths is the use of unconventional chords that make the music something special. This release with his wife Anthonia is a beautiful record where melodies and texts are strong and they have harmonies that just fall in. They have spent a lot of time and energy on the songs and it can be heard.
The album contains 14 songs with life-provoking texts.
This city album is filled with different kinds of music as it is a city album packed with different genres ranging from pop ... hiphop ... ballads to rock 'n' roll. The album contains 12 songs of some of the more active musicians residing in Qaqortoq. Aniaaq is the name of Qaqortoq's fjord, so they have chosen the name "Aniaarmiit" - those from Aniaaq. The album contains songs from the festive band Suernerit, the popular youth star Nikolaj Lønstrup and Simon Simonsen himself has his own rock 'n' roll song that is already a very popular song just to name a few of the contributors. There are many different artists with and it's a record for everyone - a real family album. It certainly will spread a lot of joy.
The songwriter Ole Kristiansen has written the songs Nukáka Coster-Waldau and Jens Simonsen have re-arranged for more teat-friendly music. The songs are very artistic and the whole theater has been developed in close cooperation between Inuit Theater and Theater Solaris. The album here is very exciting and it's a new expression the songs have got. The originals of the works originate from Ole Kristiansen's Qasapi-p ullua kingulleq.
Suernerit med nye festsange og ballader!
